I happpend to be at the Baked Potato that night in Sept of 2013 when Brian and the group recorded this. He being one of the great masters of the Hammond B3 and Fender Rhodes is still touring both here in the states as well as to large crowds in europe. Auger’s many hits from the early 1970’s are excellently preformed here with the help of longtime friend and vocalist Alex Ligertwood along with the bass tracks of Les King , gutiar riffs of Yarone Levy and the drumming of Auger’s son Karma who also the produced the project as well as being it’s co-mixer and recorder. Longtime fans will instantly recognize ” Happiness Is Just Around The Bend”and Straight Ahead”, but it’s also the group’s versions of Eddie Harris’ “Freedom Jazz Dance” and Wes Montgomery’s ” Bumpin On Sunset” that made this 13 song set so enjoyable and a MUST HAVE for any Auger fan. It’s nice to see this finally offered here on iTunes, it was previously only available at one of Brian’s show’s or at his website….but as…
